Amanda and Lee-Maho Bay Wedding
Amanda and Lee…quite possibly one of the sweetest couples I have worked with.
Amanda and I started talking about 6 months from her planned wedding date in August. Every call with Amanda was like two friends chatting…then we would both remember that the purpose of the call was to plan her amazing wedding. Her vision was to keep things colorful yet elegant that is just what we created together. About a week out from her scheduled wedding, two, yes TWO tropical storms were heading towards St. John. Needless to say, calm and collected Amanda was upset but we made the decision before Amanda and her guests traveled to St. John to shift her wedding date by two days in order to avoid any weather interruption. That is a luxury of a Destination Wedding…if all your guests are already going to be on island, shifts can be made.
Amanda and her girls got ready at the beautiful villa Casa Coram Deo, which was an incredible spot for photos. Lee and his guys got ready at Vida de Mar, another great villa located a short drive from the ladies.
Amanda and Lee’s wedding day was as close to perfect as you can get. Her brother played guitar as her bridal party and cutest ring bearer ever made their entrance. The sun was shining and the waves were crashing. A breeze blew through making everything magical.
Upon their exit, the happy couple was surprised by all of their guests singing their rendition of Billy Ocean’s Caribbean Queen…the smiles on Amanda and Lee’s face as they realized this was happening is a memory that I will always laugh about.
After the Ceremony, all the guests were shuttled to beautiful Asolare restaurant for a cocktail hour at sunset, followed by dinner and dancing late in to the evening.
Amanda and Lee…thank you for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful wedding. Getting to know the two of you was truly an honor and I look forward to your future visits back to St. John!
